Serial interface (GPIO, USB, UART, I2C) - MUMIO dev. #03

Serial communication interface for ZX Spectrum computers. Enables the ZX Spectrum computer to communicate via the following protocols:

• USB  - as a virtual COM port installed on PCs
• UART - (RS-232 equivalent on TTL signals), at speeds up to 57600 baud
• I2C - for communication with small Arduino accessories
• GPIO - parallel communication and I/O ports - located on the I/O card (MUMIO #00)

The interface allows communication with external peripherals via the most popular communication protocols used in automation: UART (RS-232), I2C and USB. Thanks to the interface, it can connect most devices and accessories dedicated to Arduino to the ZX Spectrum computer:

• temperature, pressure sensors (e.g. LPS331AP, BMP280), pollution sensors
• Real Time Clock modules (ex. DS1307)
• LCD displays
  
• relays
• input output port expanders (GPIO)
• stepper motor drivers
• speed-controlled electric motor controllers (e.g. DRV8830)
• RC servo controllers (np. PCA9685 - 16 servos)
• LED drivers (np. PCA9685)
• EPROM memory modules (np. AT24Cxx)
• and many, many more...

The device comes with an 8-page user manual. The example robot arm set on servo mechanisms shown in the last two photos is not part of the offer.

Note!
For proper operation, the device must be mounted on a universal Port I/O card - MUMIO dev. #00.

What is MUMIO?
